Resource Centres

People enjoying activities at a Resource CentreThere are three resource centres in Stockport that provide more specialist support for people than can be offered in the ordinary day centre or luncheon clubs that are available.

Community Service Workers, Support Workers and volunteers are based at the centre and organise a range of activities and support as detailed below. Staff are committed to ensuring that people attending the centre are involved and encouraged to take an active part in deciding what type of service best suits their needs.

The Resource Centres offer support and access to a wide range of services in a welcoming, comfortable and friendly environment. Each Centre has its own identity adapted to best suit the local community it is situated in. The three centres all have specialist equipment, for example hoists, allowing us to continue to support people , often with complex needs.
